Finance Manager

You could be coming from practice, industry or the not-for-profit sector. You may already be operating at this level or be a recently qualified accountant who is ready for that next step. The Job Reporting to the Finance Director, you’ll lead the day-to-day finance function and manage a small team. It’s a broad role that will give you the opportunity to build on your existing experience across:
Financial and management reporting Financial controls and cashflow management Budgeting, forecasting and financial planning Business partnering with senior leaders Statutory accounts and external audit Taxation, VAT, payroll and pensions Improving financial systems, processes and controls Person Specification Fully qualified accountant, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent Strong technical accounting skills with sound understanding of financial controls and reporting

Experience of statutory accounts and external audit Good experience of budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management

Experience of managing, supervising or developing finance colleagues Confidence working with non-finance stakeholders, providing insight, advice and constructive challenge Natural relationship builder with clear, confident communication skills Proactive, curious and keen to learn, with confidence to ask questions and get stuck in Ability to see the bigger picture while maintaining strong attention to detail Appetite to develop, take on greater responsibility and continue progressing Genuine connection with the organisation’s values and purpose Salary & Benefits Salary up to £52,000 depending on experience Hybrid working, minimum three days on site Generous pension scheme Life assurance Salary sacrifice schemes
