As Finance Officer, you will be responsible for a mixture of grant administration and transactional finance duties. Approximately half of the role will involve managing the financial administration of a high-volume grant funding programme, ensuring payments are processed accurately, efficiently and in line with established procedures.

The remaining portion of the role will focus on core finance activities, supporting the wider finance function and helping maintain accurate financial records across the organisation.

• Manage the end-to-end processing of grant payments.
• Ensure accurate audit trails are maintained throughout the funding process.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders regarding grant approvals and payment processing.
• Process supplier invoices and maintain purchase ledger records.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations.
• Assist with petty cash administration and reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate financial records within Sage.
• Update and manage information across internal finance and CRM systems.
• Support finance administration across multiple service areas.
• Assist with improving processes and reducing payment turnaround times.
• Support the wider finance team with ad hoc finance duties as required.

We are seeking an organised and detail-focused finance professional who enjoys working as part of a small team and takes pride in delivering a high-quality service.

• Previous experience within a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant, Finance Officer or similar finance role.
• Experience processing high volumes of financial transactions.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good working knowledge of Sage software.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build effective working relationships.
  
  Positive, proactive approach to work.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment.
