Management Accountant

Anderson Knight is proud to partner with its client to recruit a Part-Qualified Management Accountant to join their finance team.

The Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will take ownership of key aspects of the management accounting process, providing accurate financial information and meaningful analysis to support business performance and decision-making.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Preparing monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and completion within agreed deadlines.

* Managing month-end processes, including accruals, prepayments, journals and balance sheet reconciliations.

* Producing monthly financial reports and analysing performance against budgets and forecasts.

* Investigating variances and providing clear explanations of financial results.

* Supporting the budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with budget holders across the business.

* Monitoring key financial performance indicators and highlighting trends, risks and opportunities.

* Maintaining the integrity of financial data and ensuring appropriate financial controls are in place.

* Working with operational teams to improve financial awareness and support effective decision-making.

* Identifying opportunities to improve reporting processes, systems and procedures.

* Supporting year-end activities and liaising with external auditors where required.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a motivated and commercially minded finance professional who can work independently, manage competing priorities and communicate financial information effectively.

You will ideally have:

* Part-qualified status with ACCA, CIMA or an equivalent qualification.

* Experience preparing management accounts and working through the month-end process.

* A good understanding of budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.

* Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial information and identify trends.

* Advanced Excel skills and experience using accounting or ERP systems.

* Excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.

* Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with stakeholders across the business.

* A proactive approach, with an interest in improving processes and contributing to the wider finance function.
