Job summary

Ofgem is at the heart of Great Britain’s Net Zero future, and we’re now seeking a Climate Resilience Strategy Advisor to help ensure the energy system can withstand the growing risks posed by climate change.

Ofgem is Great Britain’s independent energy regulator. We’re at the forefront of change across the energy sector, driving toward Net Zero whilst protecting energy consumers, especially vulnerable people.

We’re offering a permanent opportunity to work at the centre of our Climate Resilience Strategy team, supporting an agenda that is critical to the future of the energy system. As we move towards Clean Power 2030, you will help ensure resilience is treated as a core consideration within regulatory thinking, influencing how future challenges are understood and addressed.

You’ll contribute to shaping how policy and regulation factor in climate risk, supporting decisions that help the energy system remain dependable as conditions change. Working collaboratively across our organisation, government and industry, you’ll bring together insight and joined‑up approaches to one of the most important challenges facing the energy sector.

We're looking for someone who can drive change in a collaborative manner, factoring in multiple priorities and using initiative and creativity to develop solutions within a fast‑changing environment. You'll be a talented analyst who can use data to inform decisions and identify issues, whilst influencing audiences and conveying information in a manner that resonates with everyone.

On top of this, you'll be an accomplished communicator who can forge relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, work well in a fast‑paced environment and problem‑solve at a high level.

In return, you’ll join a team working at the leading edge of climate resilience within infrastructure, where your work can genuinely influence decisions and outcomes. You’ll have the opportunity to develop your expertise, broaden your experience and contribute to work that matters at a national level.

We have a critical purpose to ensure the energy system remains resilient as the risks it faces evolve. Join us and help shape how climate resilience is built into the future of Great Britain’s energy system.
