Overview
We are hiring domestic assistants across NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. Permanent part‑time backshift positions available, catering duties discussed if invited to interview.
Responsibilities- Clean all clinical and non‑clinical hospital locations: wet mopping, vacuuming, emptying bins, replenishing supplies, cleaning fixtures, furniture and toilet/bathroom areas.
- Provide catering duties on some sites as discussed.
- Right to work in the UK for the duration of employment.
- Provide at least two references covering the last 3 years from current and most previous employment.
- Attend interview/travel to West Glasgow Ambulatory Care Hospital and, if successful, complete a 3‑day centralised induction before starting.
Locations across all NHS sectors:
Royal Alexandra Hospital, Glasgow Royal Infirmary, Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Gartnavel, Stobhill & Leverndale Hospital sites and associated health centres. Interviews week commencing Feb 2026 at West Glasgow Ambulatory Care Hospital.
Enhanced hourly rates for weekend contracts and before 06:00 and after 20:00 for weekly contracts. Part‑time rates apply to all positions.
