Staff Nurse – Emergency Care Complex

Apply to work at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde in the Emergency Complex at Glasgow Royal Infirmary, caring for around 300 patients daily between the Emergency Department and Acute Assessment Unit.

• Post 1: 22.69 hours per week
• Post 2: 3 × 34.1 hours per week
• Post 3: 37 hours per week

Please note: Effective 1 April 2026, full‑time Agenda for Change posts will be reduced to 36 hours. Salary is pro‑rata for part‑time hours.

• Provide emergency/urgent care to patients, including assessment and treatment in high‑pressure environments.
• Support the team in the Emergency Complex, contributing to the delivery of safe and efficient care.
• Continuously develop clinical skills and knowledge, with a focus on patient safety and quality improvement.

• Live NMC UK registration (pin required).
• Band 5 nursing level with experience in emergency or urgent care environments preferred.
• Desirable skills: venepuncture, cannulation, IV medication administration—training provided if not already held.
• Willingness to learn, adapt and improve under pressure.
