Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with their mental health and emotional wellbeing?
A nurturing and inclusive SEN and SEMH school in Spencer’s Wood is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Assistant to join their supportive team. This full‑time role involves working with pupils aged 5 to 16 who present with Autism, ADHD, anxiety, trauma‑related needs, and behavioural challenges.
This Mental Health Assistant opportunity is ideal for graduates in Psychology, Counselling, Education, or Criminology, as well as individuals looking to gain hands‑on experience before progressing into careers in Clinical Psychology, Therapy, Social Work, or Teaching.

Spencer’s Wood - Salary: £89–£100 per day
- Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm - Start Date:
ASAP
- Provide 1:1 and small group emotional and academic support
- Help pupils develop coping and emotional regulation strategies
- Support behaviour management using positive and therapeutic approaches
- Build safe, trusting relationships with students
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external mental health professionals
