Overview
In your role as an Activities Co-ordinator at HC-One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. Responsibilities- Plan and implement activities that will delight our Residents.
- Help the Home Manager to organise essential fundraising events.
- Encourage Residents to socialise and participate in activities; develop ideas based on Residents’ hobbies and involve the wider care home team, with kindness at the forefront.
- Utilise planning, organisational and IT skills to manage time effectively.
- Communicate with Residents and co-workers in a considerate and kind manner.
- Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility: recognise signs of abuse, harm or neglect, know what to do if there are concerns, attend safeguarding training, undertake additional training, seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.
- Background working with vulnerable individuals, ideally developing activity programmes.
- Positive energy and ability to get along with people.
- Strong planning, organisational and IT skills; ability to manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication with Residents and co-workers, showing genuine kindness and consideration.
