Are you interested in working for an award winning social care charity? Personal Assistants (Support Workers) have the most important role within Enable by making a positive difference every day to the lives of the people we support.

Each person we support has different support requirements, so your role may include assisting them with various aspects of personal care, moving and handling or positive behavioural support whilst expanding their social networks and connections.

Enable creates a bespoke team around every individual we support, and our team of Personal Assistants work collaboratively to ensure the safety, wellbeing and aspirations of the people we support are met.

The people we support have many varied interests and hobbies and have many of the same dreams and aspirations as we do. They just too often do not get the opportunity to experience these same opportunities. So whatever your interests are; be it sewing, baking, having a cup of tea and chat to horse riding, swimming or hill-walking, we want to hear from you!

A career with Enable is as rewarding as it is diverse – Personal Assistants at their best have the potential to truly bring out the best in the people we support.

About Beacon House

Beacon House is a care home which provides 24-hour support to 8 adults with learning disabilities in a comfortable, relaxing environment. We provide support in all aspects of their lives, while promoting choice and independence. We support people to live life to the fullest.

Help transform lives like J’s. Hi, I’m J and I reside in the Beacon House Project with 7 other people. I have a learning disability, and physical conditions which affect my health.

I love music and it is a special interest of mine. I enjoy taking part in music class, listening to music and playing my guitar.

I like to be the boss, and I regularly attend my club at the Glenburn where I help the staff, play bingo and have a nice lunch.

I am a huge Celtic fan and season ticket holder; I love to watch the games whether it be at Celtic Park or by watching on TV.

When it comes to supporting me, I require someone who can support me to do all the things I enjoy, share my good morals and values and promote my independence. I enjoy having a bit of banter and good conversation.

Are you ready to make a real difference to me and people like me?
