The RoleAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Band 3 Health Care Support Worker to join our busy Endoscopy Unit at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. The Endoscopy Unit provides a comprehensive range of diagnostic, therapeutic, and acute upper and lower endoscopic procedures for both in‑patients and out‑patients. We work closely with the specialties of Gastroenterology, Colorectal Surgery, and Upper GI Surgery to deliver safe, effective, and person‑centred care.
This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS).
Duration, Location, and Working Pattern- 25.9 hours per week

Please note the salary is pro rata for part‑time hours.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs part of our skilled and dedicated multidisciplinary team, the post holder will contribute to the delivery of high‑quality, compassionate care, supporting patients throughout their endoscopic journey. You will also play a key role in maintaining high clinical standards through participation in audit, risk management, and evidence‑based practice.
Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the jobExperience with in Gastroenterology, Surgery and/or Endoscopy is desirable for this role. This post offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

From 1 April 2026, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will reduce from 37 hours to 36 hours. Part‑time working hours will be reduced on a pro‑rata basis. A corresponding increase in the hourly rate will apply, ensuring that overall pay remains unchanged.
