What your day will look like

  • Start each shift with a clear handover, reviewing care plans, medication and priorities
  • Support residents with personal care, meals and daily routines, maintaining dignity and respect at all times
  • Administer and oversee medication in line with procedures
  • Monitor wellbeing and respond to any changes, escalating concerns when required
  • Guide and support colleagues on shift and help organise workloads
  • Maintain standards and contribute to a calm, well-run service
  • Complete accurate records and hand over clearly to the next shift

About you

You will have experience working in an older people's care setting and hold an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care. You will be confident taking responsibility on shift and supporting colleagues. You must be registered with the SSSC, or willing to register, and be a member of the PVG scheme, or willing to join. You will be organised, reliable and able to make sound decisions, while remaining calm, compassionate and person centred.

Experience supporting medication and guiding other staff is essential.

Why join us

You will join a stable, supportive service where senior staff are trusted to lead on shift and make decisions. You will work as part of a consistent team with clear expectations, strong management support and a genuine focus on quality care rather than rushing tasks.

A senior role with clear responsibility and purpose

Ongoing training and development

Supportive management and structured handovers

Benefits including pension, health cash plan, Perkbox and Blue Light Card

You will be required to join the PVG scheme.
