Job Details

Job Title: Occupational Health Advisor
Location: Homebased in Glasgow with travel
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum + benefits pro rata
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Full time or part time
Right to live and work in the UK: Required for this role

Role Summary

This is a home‑based role with 1‑2 days per week of travel to conduct face‑to‑face clinics for clients in Glasgow, working on blue‑light sector contracts. You will deliver Health Surveillance, Immunisations & Case Management, conducting workplace assessments and reporting on potential health risks. Duties include pre‑employment checks, health surveillance, fitness‑for‑work screenings, and advising employees on physical and mental health issues in line with occupational health standards.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct on‑site health surveillance and pre‑employment assessments.
  • Perform fitness‑for‑work screenings and manage case‑management processes.
  • Advise employees on occupational health matters including physical and mental health concerns.
  • Travel to client sites as required, normally 1‑2 days per week.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date records and provide high‑quality occupational health services.
Qualifications
  • Registered General Nurse with proven experience as an Occupational Health Advisor.
  • Current NMC Registration.
  • Ability to travel to client sites on a weekly basis.
