Ross Hall Clinic Braehead – 37.5 hours & Permanent – Salary:
Up to £25,500 per year (depending on experience, training and qualification)
Circle Health Group’s Ross Hall Clinic Braehead in Glasgow is part of Britain’s leading independent providers of healthcare. We are looking for a Healthcare Assistant to join the Pre Assessment department. This is a full‑time role of 37.5 hours a week, covering flexible shift patterns including night shifts.
Duties- Assist patients with personal hygiene, washing, dressing, toileting, oral care, and mobility needs, respecting their preferences and dignity.
- Help patients with eating, drinking and nutritional support, documenting intake where appropriate.
- Provide comfort and emotional support to patients and relatives, creating a caring and safe environment.
- Carry out and record routine observations such as blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate, temperature, oxygen saturation and blood glucose levels (after appropriate training).
- Support basic clinical procedures including wound care set‑up, assistance with catheter care, pressure area prevention and mobility aids.
- Prepare and maintain clinical areas, including trolleys, beds and equipment in readiness for patient use.
- Work collaboratively with nurses, doctors, therapists and admin teams to support safe and efficient patient care.
- Previous experience in a care or health support role (hospital, care home, community or domiciliary).
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with a caring, compassionate attitude.
- Ability to follow instructions and raise concerns appropriately.
- Basic literacy, numeracy and IT skills.
- Physically able to undertake duties that include moving and handling tasks.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) desirable.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, infection control and confidentiality procedures.
