Job Description & How to Apply Below

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is one of the largest healthcare systems in the United Kingdom, employing approximately 40,000 staff across a wide range of clinical and non‑clinical professions and roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million people, and to a wider population of 2.2 million when regional and national services are included.

The Role

We are seeking an Occupational Therapist with a particular interest in working with young people (aged up to 18 years) who have mental health difficulties and neurodevelopmental issues. You will be based in North CAMHS, Woodside Health & Care Centre and will help to deliver an Occupational Therapy Service within a multi‑disciplinary setting. Whilst experience of working in either mental health or paediatrics is desirable, it is not essential, as we recognise that a desire to work in this area will be the key to your success in this post.

The post aims to extend an Occupational Therapy service that is already established and well respected within the team. You will be supported by a Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist in the role and be part of a wider CAMHS Occupational Therapy Team that is growing and expanding. You will work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team, assessing young people who are experiencing difficulties with their mental health and may have co‑morbidity neurodevelopmental issues.

You will be required to offer individual and group work interventions, both with and alongside your Occupational Therapy and multi‑disciplinary colleagues.
