The Role

Band 5 Rotational Occupational Therapist within our Rehabilitation and Assessment Service. As part of one of the UK's largest and most innovative health boards, you will gain invaluable experience across a range of specialist clinical areas including older people’s services, acute medicine, orthopaedics, stroke rehabilitation and neurology. Working within supportive multidisciplinary teams, you will develop your clinical expertise while delivering high quality, person‑centred care.

Duration, Location, and Working Pattern
  • Full‑time, permanent
  • You will be based in various locations across GGC
  • Working 5 days over 7
Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate occupational therapy interventions to support patient recovery, independence and rehabilitation
  • Manage a diverse caseload and prioritise patient needs to ensure timely and effective care delivery
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and coordinate patient‑centred care plans
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and contribute to clinical decision making and discharge planning
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to service data collection and reporting requirements
  • Participate in clinical audit and service improvement activities and evidence‑based practice initiatives
  • Support education, training and development activities for students, colleagues and wider healthcare teams
Qualifications and Experience
  • Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council
  • Knowledge of occupational therapy practice within a healthcare setting
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with a patient‑centred approach to care
  • Working knowledge of IT systems and electronic record keeping with a commitment to continuous professional development
