Personal Assistant - Mitre - nightshift

About the Role

Personal Assistants (Support Workers) have the most important role within Enable by making a positive difference every day to the lives of the people we support.

Each person we support has different support requirements, so your role as Support Worker may include assisting them with various aspects of personal care, moving and handling or positive behavioural support while expanding their social networks and connections.

Enable creates a bespoke team around every individual we support, and our team of Personal Assistants work collaboratively to ensure the safety, wellbeing and aspirations of the people we support are met.

25 HOURS PER WEEK

SHIFT PATTERN – 10PM to 7AM

£13.45 HOURLY RATE

• Assist with personal care tasks for adults with learning disabilities.
• Support movement and handling to promote safety and independence.
• Apply positive behavioural support strategies.
• Help expand social networks and connections.
• Promote choice and independence in all aspects of daily life.

Caroline resides in Mitre House Project with four other people. She has a learning disability and physical conditions that affect her health. Caroline enjoys indoor and outdoor activities, is a social person, loves attending community clubs, and is involved in daily life  especially enjoys visits from her sisters and spending time with people around her. She also has a mischievous personality and a dark sense of humour that keeps everyone smiling.

This role would suit someone who is patient, attentive, caring and committed to providing person‑centred support that helps Caroline live a happy and fulfilling life.

Mitre House is a care home that provides 24‑hour support to five adults with learning disabilities in a comfortable, relaxing environment. We support people to live life to the fullest.
