Care Support Worker UK – Visa Sponsorship Opportunity 2026 Care Support Worker – UK Visa Sponsorship Available Kendall Care is seeking a compassionate, reliable and person-centred Care Support Worker to provide domiciliary and live-in care to individuals in their own homes and within the community.

The successful candidate will support people with a range of complex and long-term needs, including learning disabilities, autism, PEG feeding, spinal cord injuries, physical disabilities, acquired brain injuries, epilepsy, mental health conditions, challenging behaviours, long-term illnesses and palliative or end-of-life care.

The role focuses on promoting choice, dignity, independence, communication, wellbeing and community participation
, while working in line with individual care plans, risk assessments and clinical guidance.

Key Responsibilities Person-Centred Domiciliary Care
  • Provide care and support in service users’ homes according to care plans and schedules.
  • Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, continence and toileting.
  • Encourage individuals to maintain their independence wherever safely possible.
  • Support with meals, nutrition, hydration, shopping, appointments and community activities.
  • Respect privacy, confidentiality, personal belongings and individual choices.
  • Report concerns, refusals of care and changes in a person’s condition.
Live-In Care
  • Provide planned live-in support in accordance with care plans and agreed routines.
  • Offer companionship, reassurance and practical assistance.
  • Support with personal care, meals, medication, mobility, appointments and domestic tasks.
  • Take agreed rest and break periods.
  • Provide thorough handovers when placements change.
Autism and Learning Disabilities
  • Use the individual’s preferred communication methods.
  • Maintain predictable and supportive routines.
  • Follow Positive Behaviour Support plans.
  • Encourage social inclusion and meaningful activities.
  • Record behaviours and incidents accurately.
PEG and Nutritional Support
  • Provide PEG-related care only after completing the required training and assessment.
  • Follow individual feeding and nutrition plans.
  • Monitor PEG sites and report concerns.
  • Follow relevant clinical and Speech and Language Therapy guidance.
  • Accurately record nutrition, fluids and medication.
Physical Disabilities and Spinal Injury Support
  • Assist with safe transfers, positioning and mobility.
  • Follow pressure relief and positioning plans.
  • Support authorised bowel, bladder, catheter and stoma routines.
  • Identify and report potential health complications.
  • Encourage independence through appropriate mobility equipment.
Mental Health Support
  • Build positive and professional relationships.
  • Support individual wellbeing and recovery plans.
  • Monitor changes in mental or emotional health.
  • Respond calmly and appropriately during periods of distress.
  • Never use unauthorised restrictive practices.
Palliative and End-of-Life Care
  • Provide compassionate and respectful support.
  • Assist with comfort and personal care.
  • Monitor and report changes in health.
  • Support relatives and loved ones.
  • Work alongside community nurses, GPs and hospice teams.
Medication and Clinical Support

Care Support Workers will:

  • Follow medication administration records (MAR/eMAR) and care plans.
  • Accurately document medication and care provided.
  • Undertake delegated healthcare procedures only after appropriate training and authorisation.
  • Never perform duties beyond their level of competence.
Record Keeping and Safeguarding

The successful applicant will be expected to:

  • Complete accurate electronic care records.
  • Document care and changes in condition promptly.
  • Follow escalation and emergency procedures.
  • Participate in handovers.
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and report suspected abuse or neglect.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with data protection requirements.
  • Promote equality, diversity and professional boundaries.
Health, Safety and Infection Control

You will also be required to:

  • Follow infection prevention and control procedures.
  • Follow lone-working and fire safety policies.
  • Use care equipment correctly.
