NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is looking for a dedicated Specialist Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy Services team and play a key role in delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care. Working closely with multidisciplinary colleagues, you will use your expertise to support safe, effective and evidence-based use of medicines while helping to improve outcomes for patients across a range of clinical settings.

• Permanent, full-time
• Monday to Friday, weekend working and participation in public holiday rota and extended hours rota
• On-call commitment

• Deliver specialist pharmaceutical care and medicines management services within designated clinical areas
• Provide expert advice and guidance on medicines optimisation to healthcare professionals, patients and carers
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, ward rounds and clinical decision-making processes
• Support safe, effective and cost-conscious prescribing in line with local and national policies
• Contribute to audit, research, quality improvement and service redesign initiatives
• Supervise, train and support pharmacy staff, trainees and other healthcare professionals
• Identify and manage medicines-related risks while promoting patient safety and clinical governance

• Master's Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent qualification
• Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council
• Significant post-registration experience delivering clinical pharmacy services within a healthcare setting
• Strong knowledge of medicines legislation, clinical pharmacy practice and pharmaceutical care principles
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and advise a wide range of stakeholders
• Proven ability to analyse complex clinical information and apply sound professional judgement to improve patient outcomes
• Strong organisational, numeracy and IT skills with the ability to prioritise workload and work effectively under pressure
