Band 2​/3 Phlebotomy Locum

Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and experienced Phlebotomist. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting patient care by providing a high-quality blood collection service across wards and outpatient settings.

Key Responsibilities Perform venepuncture and capillary blood sampling in accordance with hospital policies and procedures Ensure accurate patient identification and correct labelling of specimens Deliver a professional, compassionate service to patients at all times Maintain high standards of infection prevention and control Accurately record and process samples for laboratory analysis Work collaboratively with nursing, medical, and laboratory staff Manage workload efficiently during core working hours Requirements Proven experience as a Phlebotomist (NHS experience preferred) Competency in venepuncture and blood collection techniques Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Understanding of confidentiality, data protection, and patient dignity Up-to-date mandatory training (or willingness to complete)
