We are seeking a Clinical Director to provide clinical oversight and strategic leadership for our Consumer Business Unit. The role will work in close partnership with the Managing Director of the Business Unit with shared accountability for strategic and operational performance.
This role is predominantly remote with occasional in-person meetings.
Key Responsibilities- Drive the clinical strategy underpinning growth across private insurance, "self-pay", employer-funded, and corporate healthcare markets, ensuring services are clinically robust, commercially viable, and aligned with customer needs.
- Partner with Business Development, Product, and Sales and Marketing teams to develop, evaluate, and launch innovative clinical propositions that enhance market differentiation, increase revenue, and expand market share in the consumer healthcare sector.
- Provide clinical leadership and insight to support engagement with payers, insurers, and corporate partners, ensuring clinical credibility, evidence-based outcomes, and regulatory compliance across all growth and partnership initiatives.
- Lead the development of scalable, safe, outcomes-focused, digital-first clinical pathways.
- Develop and enforce clinical policies and protocols to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and ethical standards.
- Provide senior oversight of the clinical workforce within the business unit, with an emphasis on upholding high standards across all clinical work.
We're looking for a registered senior healthcare professional with proven experience in clinical leadership and meets the following requirements:
- Ability to collaborate with senior stakeholders and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering and driving change, implementing new processes and policies.
- Experience in making clinical decisions in a commercial environment, working with senior non-clinical leadership to make effective decisions.
- Clear demonstration of integrity and patient focus.
- Ability to work as a cohesive team member with shared accountability.
- Solid understanding of healthcare markets and entrepreneurial vision
- Deep understanding of clinical governance, safeguarding, compliance, incident management, and quality assurance processes.
- Ability to create an environment in which clinical innovation is encouraged and implemented for the benefit of patients, our workforce and external partners.
- Competent, confident and willing to give a balanced strategic clinical or professional view on all aspects of organisational business.
- Demonstrably able to think beyond their own professional and organisational viewpoint.
- Knowledge and understanding of health, care, private and local government landscapes
