The RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a band 5 physiotherapist to work within the North West Rehabilitation Service. The post holder will have an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic multi-disciplinary team providing assessment, treatment, and intervention to older people and disabled adults with multiple pathologies. The aims of the service include, promotion of independence, self-management, admission avoidance and supporting hospital discharge.
These duties are fulfilled in service users own homes and communities enhancing ability to maximise independence and deliver person centred care. The post holder will autonomously manage a clinical caseload within the service, applying specialist knowledge and skills relating to their physiotherapy professional role as well as working as an effective and efficient partner in the interdisciplinary team. Other duties will involve the supervision of support workers and students as well as being an integral part of service development and quality improvement.
You will be a chartered physiotherapist and HCPC registered. Experience of being part of an inter-disciplinary team and working in the community is desirable however not essential, along with some experience in neurology, older peoples care, or rehabilitation.
Duration, Location, and Working PatternThis is a permanent, full-time post of 36 hours per week.
This role is based at Community Centre For Health, 547 Dumbarton Road, Glasgow.
The shift pattern is Monday Thursday, Friday.

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job- Degree or diploma leading to Physiotherapy HPC registration
- Current HCPC registration
- Evidence of a range of learning e.g. in-service training, put into practice
- Working knowledge of basic IT e.g. word processing, use of internet, data base management
- The post-holder would be expected to be fully familiar with local policies and procedures within 6 months of taking up post through a period of planned induction and supervision.
