The RoleThis is an excellent opportunity for an HCPC registered Band 6 Occupational Therapist to work within the North West Rehabilitation Service, managing a complex clinical caseload of older and disabled adults with multiple pathologies. The role involves working autonomously and as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team to provide assessment, treatment, intervention, and expert advice across community settings, including service users’ homes and Discharge to Assess units.
The focus of the service is to promote independence, support self-management, avoid hospital admission, and facilitate timely hospital discharge through person-centred care. The post holder will contribute to interdisciplinary assessments, case coordination, duty cover, and service delivery, while also engaging in supervision of staff and students, health promotion, audit activity and service development.
This community based role requires travel across the North West of Glasgow; therefore, a full UK driving licence is essential. Experience of working within a multidisciplinary team and knowledge of community practice, older people’s care, or neurological conditions is desirable.
Duration, Location, and Working PatternThis is a permanent, full-time post of 36 hours per week.
This role is based at Maryhill Health Centre.
The shift pattern is Monday to Thursday 8.30am until 4.15pm and Friday 8.30am until 4pm. The post will also include occasional weekends. This is a 5 over 7 day contract.
