Health Care Support Worker - Outpatient and Pre Operative Assessment

3) to join our Outpatient and Pre-Operative Assessment team within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. • Glasgow Royal Infirmary
• 08:00 to 16:00 shift pattern
• Part-time, permanent
• Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part-time hours

• Deliver high-quality patient care in support of Registered Nurses within the Outpatient and Pre-Operative Assessment service
• Assist patients with activities of daily living while promoting dignity, comfort and wellbeing
• Record and report patient observations accurately, maintaining clear and up-to-date patient records
• Recognise and report changes in a patient's condition to senior nursing staff promptly and appropriately
• Maintain a safe, clean and supportive environment for patients, visitors and colleagues
• Support the effective management of resources, equipment and clinical supplies within the department
• Develop positive relationships with patients, relatives and multidisciplinary team members to enhance the patient experience

• Completed NICHE programme or hold SVQ Level 3 in a relevant healthcare discipline
• Previous experience working within an outpatient or healthcare environment
• Caring, compassionate and patient-focused approach to delivering care
• Ability to prioritise workload effectively and work independently when required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills together with good literacy and numeracy skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team in a busy clinical setting
• Confidence using clinical systems, maintaining accurate records and handling information confidentially
