What You’ll Do- Provide nursing care before, during, and after cardiac catheterization procedures
- Assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and hemodynamic status
- Provide moderate sedation according to established policy and competency
- Prepare patients, sterile fields, equipment, and supplies for procedures
- Recognize subtle changes in patient condition and respond quickly to cardiac emergencies
- Assist with emergency interventions, including defibrillation and temporary pacing
- Educate and reassure patients and families throughout their procedural experience
- Collaborate closely with Cardiologists and the multidisciplinary Cath Lab team
- Promote exceptional patient safety, quality, and efficient procedural care
Job Description
What You’ll Bring
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current South Carolina or Compact State RN license
- Current BLS and ACLS
- Strong knowledge of cardiac physiology/pathology, 12-lead EKG interpretation, and physiologic monitoring
- 2 years of Critical Care or Emergency Department RN experience OR
- 2 years of Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology RN experience OR
- 1 year of Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab RN experience
