Salary – Up to £30,500 (DOE)
Are you an experienced Payroll Administrator looking to join an organisation where your work truly makes an impact?
We are seeking a detail-driven payroll professional to support the delivery of an accurate, compliant and high-quality payroll and employee benefits service within a large, complex organisation.
The OpportunityYou will play a key role in delivering a reliable and efficient payroll service, ensuring full compliance with PAYE, National Insurance, pension regulations, statutory payments (SMP, SPP, SSP) and GDPR requirements. You’ll also support the development of modern HR & Payroll systems, helping to streamline processes and enhance service delivery through better use of technology.
Key Responsibilities- Process salary and benefit payments accurately and on time
- Maintain precise employee records including salary, absence, pensions and statutory leave
- Support payroll reporting and preparation for pay runs
- Ensure accuracy across sick pay, pensions, statutory payments and deductions
- Liaise with employees and managers to resolve payroll queries professionally
- Manage external payments including union subscriptions, salary sacrifice schemes and other deductions
- Assist with employee and manager self‑service enhancements
- Provide payroll data analysis and reporting to support organisational objectives
- Ensure adherence to payroll legislation and employment terms
- Support internal controls, audit processes and GDPR compliance
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Strong working knowledge of payroll legislation, PAYE, NI and pension regulations
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Confident communicator with strong customer service skills
