As a People Operations Partner within Breedon GB you will be based out of our Uddingston office near Glasgow and will be responsible for delivering consistent, high‑quality HR support to managers and employees across the south of Scotland. This is a hands‑on role where you will play a key part in keeping people processes running consistently and effectively, while supporting managers to build on their capability to lead their teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day‑to‑day Employee Relations cases including Absence, Disciplinary, Grievance, Performance and Flexible working.
  • Oversee recruitment & onboarding by keeping recruitment moving, e.g. develop job descriptions, adverts, review CVs and support interviews where necessary.
  • Support & coach managers with performance & development to enable them to complete reviews and carry out performance processes effectively.
  • Provide hands‑on support during restructures and reorganisations.
  • Act as the first point of contact for people queries.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • Ability to demonstrate previous operational HR experience, ideally having been gained within a multi‑site or regional setting and be capable of working in a high‑change environment.
  • Strong employee relations knowledge and confidence handling casework.
  • Good understanding of UK employment law, best practices and HR processes.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Practical, solution‑focused and responsive.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with managers across multiple sites.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to support and guide managers.
  • CIPD qualified is desirable but not essential.
  • Full driving license valid for the UK is essential.
