We are the UK's aviation and aerospace regulator and recognised as a world leader in its field. Our activities are diverse, enabling the aviation industry to meet the highest safety standards, and we pride ourselves on our ability to adapt to the constantly evolving aviation environment.

From sustainability to space, innovation to inspiration, the UK CAA is recognised as a world leader at the cutting edge of an exciting and ever-changing Aerospace sector.

The diversity of what UK CAA delivers, its aspirations to provide consumers, operators, government and others with financial confidence and stability is unique, and because of this (and many other things) being a Resourcing Consultant at the UK CAA is one of the most exciting and fulfilling roles in the recruitment industry.

The more detailed bit …

You’ve read above that we like to make amazing happen…and that’s because we strive to deliver an excellent service, are highly creative and we have the freedom to handle our own work in a positive and flexible environment…all our Resourcing Consultants are supported in their development, have regular learning and career conversations and have a great balance of opportunity from creating strategy, managing supply chains, being part of tender teams, building talent pipelines, designing and facilitating assessments…and most importantly filling roles with the right people in the right place at the right time.

We manage a huge variety of vacancies across the organisation ranging from permanent hires both internally and externally, fixed term contracts/secondments and short-term contingent workers for specific projects and as a Resourcing Consultant, you will provide strategic and creative input whilst managing the full recruitment lifecycle.

What could your amazing be?

It’s your role to strive for an engaging experience for candidates, hiring managers and others involved in the process whilst always focusing on the People & Culture Team and CAA’s objectives.

You will take the lead on assigned vacancies by liaising with hiring managers to fully understand their needs and provide experienced advice on recruiting trends, legislation and candidate attraction methods that are appropriate, including the recommendation of assessments and psychometric tools to support the selection process to ensure we hire colleagues who are a great match.

We support hiring managers by screening candidate applications to build a shortlist effectively, whilst also directly sourcing candidates through relevant channels.

In addition to vacancy management, we'd want you to:

  • Engage with candidates proactively to form relationships and grow the CAA reputation.
  • Effectively partner with our recruitment agencies on the PSL (preferred supplier list).
  • Research appropriately to keep up to date on what is happening in the talent space.
  • Partner with other People & Culture colleagues in a combined and supportive way.
  • Manage a great customer and candidate experience and ensure supply partners strive to our levels of excellence.
  • Contribute towards the design and delivery of assessment centres and psychometric tests to raise the quality of hires.
  • Add significant value to the EVP.

You’ll have the opportunity to be involved in or lead other projects alongside your main role that fit in with your career aspirations and personal development goals.

About You…the bit we’re most excited about…

The successful (and awesome) candidate will:

  • Have in-house recruitment experience within the public/regulatory sector including direct sourcing, candidate management, ATS management and knowledge of Linked In Recruiter.
  • Experience in recruiting scarce skilled vacancies that include engineering, corporate services,…
