Payroll Specialist

The role supports colleagues, managers, Payroll, and HR stakeholders processing reward and pay-related activities, ensuring payroll data integrity, administering family-friendly leave processes, and supporting annual reward programmes.

The postholder is accountable for ensuring colleagues receive the correct pay, benefits, and statutory entitlements while maintaining compliance with company policies, employment legislation, and payroll governance requirements. Working collaboratively across HR, Payroll, and the wider business, the role contributes to a high-quality service through effective query resolution, accurate calculations, strong stakeholder support, and continuous process improvement.

Whilst working as part of a team, the role holder will take ownership of their own work allocation, managing their time effectively, re-prioritising when necessary, to ensure all service delivery targets be met. They will be involved with the more complex delivery and grow relationships with key internal stakeholders. Throughout, they will drive service quality through understanding and delivering against expectations, meeting objectives, effectively prioritising, and initiating continuous improvement.
