The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring all workers and suppliers are paid accurately, on time and in line with legislation, contracts and internal processes. This is a varied position within a high-volume payroll function, where you'll manage payrolls from start to finish, resolve issues proactively and work closely with colleagues across the business to deliver an excellent payroll service.
What you’ll be doingManaging weekly payroll processes to ensure accurate and timely payments.
Managing your allocated payrolls from start to finish each week.
Overseeing data imports from CRM into the Pay & Bill system and resolving exceptions.
Reviewing warnings and errors to ensure compliance with processes and procedures.
Completing end-to-end payroll tasks including payslips, reconciliations and pension uploads.
Processing high volumes of holiday requests from temporary workers.
Responding to payroll queries from managers, workers and suppliers promptly and professionally.
Building strong working relationships with internal teams and external partners.
Working closely with colleagues across payroll, recruitment and finance to resolve queries and maintain payroll accurate.
Prioritising multiple tasks and deadlines within a busy payroll operation.
Supporting improvements to reporting, processes and controls.
Carrying out ad hoc duties as required by the Payroll Manager or Senior Payroll Officer.
Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment.
Experience processing weekly payrolls would be beneficial
Experience processing weekly, temporary worker or contractor payrolls would be beneficial.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills are desirable.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
The ability to multitask effectively and manage competing priorities.
A proactive approach with the ability to learn new processes quickly.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Salary of £27,500 per annum
