Electronic Trading Technology – Sales & Distribution

A leading global investment bank is seeking Full-Stack Developers to join its Sales & Distribution Technology group in Glasgow. This is a high-impact role where you’ll help build and evolve a proprietary, award-winning electronic trading platform used by multiple Sales & Trading desks across asset classes.

You’ll work end-to-end on modern, distributed systems - partnering closely with front-office stakeholders to deliver high-performance, scalable solutions that power electronic execution for internal and external clients.

This role suits hands-on engineers who enjoy solving complex problems and want exposure to business-critical trading systems in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment.

• Design, build, and enhance full-stack trading applications used across Sales & Trading
• Develop Java-based microservices supporting web, desktop, mobile, and external API platforms
• Work with modern UI frameworks (Angular) to deliver intuitive, high-performance front ends
• Contribute across the full SDLC - analysis, design, development, and delivery
• Collaborate with global teams to deliver high-visibility electronic trading projects
• Champion best practices including TDD, clean code, and agile delivery
• Participate in architectural discussions and code reviews

• Experience with Spring, web services, and distributed systems
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and TDD
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to deliver under tight deadlines
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Exposure to Front Office trading systems or asset classes (Equities, FX, Fixed Income) is a plus
