Information Manager (Data, Reporting & Governance) – Glasgow (Hybrid)
We’re supporting a major UK infrastructure delivery organisation as they continue to strengthen their information management capability. They are now looking to appoint an experienced Information Manager to join their team, based at their Stepps office with hybrid working available
.
This role sits within a complex, collaborative capital delivery environment and plays a key part in how information is governed, reported, and used to support effective decision-making across the organisation.
The RoleReporting to the Head of Strategy and PMO, you’ll be responsible for managing and improving information governance, reporting, and data quality across programmes and projects. You’ll work closely with project teams, partners, and senior stakeholders to ensure information is accurate, accessible, and fit for purpose.
Key responsibilities include:- Developing and improving information governance frameworks
- Producing programme and project reporting for operational, partner, and board-level audiences
- Using Power BI to create dashboards, reports, and insights
- Improving access to information and enabling effective reuse
- Supporting compliance, retention, and information lifecycle management
- Contributing to Business Management System and BIM-related initiatives
You’ll have experience in an information management, data, or reporting role within major infrastructure, construction, or regulated environments (water or utilities experience beneficial but not essential).
You’ll also bring:
- Strong Power BI experience
- Confidence working with large datasets and multiple data sources
- Experience with information management platforms and Common Data Environments (CDEs)
- An understanding of engineering design and project delivery environments
- A collaborative approach and the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders
This is a hybrid role with the office based in Stepps
. From Glasgow Queen Street
, it’s approximately a 15-minute train journey to Stepps station
, followed by a short walk to the office. Driving time from central Glasgow is typically around 20 minutes
, depending on traffic.
