BI Analyst - Hybrid (Glasgow) - Power BI, SQL, Excel - Up to £40,000

If you're someone who enjoys turning data into simple, compelling stories and helping senior leaders make confident decisions, this role will suit you brilliantly.

You'll be joining a long-established UK organisation known for its innovation, supportive culture, and research-driven approach to improvement. They operate across multiple sites, employ hundreds of people across technical and operational disciplines, and are in the middle of an exciting modernisation of their data landscape, meaning you'll have real influence over how things are shaped going forward.

In this role you will work with a mix of hands‑on BI development, communication, and involvement in key strategic data projects. You’ll be:

  • Building and refining dashboards and reports using Power BI.
  • Writing light to moderate SQL, mainly for report building and querying datasets.
  • Translating complex insights into simple, clear messages for non‑technical stakeholders, including senior managers.
  • Refactoring old legacy reports and improving existing reporting assets.
  • Supporting the design of new BI and data architecture.
  • Helping the business transition away from older tools (including ZAP) and towards Microsoft Fabric, which is already being implemented.
  • Working on evolving data foundations as the organisation modernises its BI ecosystem.
  • Engaging with managers across Finance, Operations, Digital & Data, and commercial teams.

This isn’t just report building – it’s storytelling, advising, influencing, and helping shape the future of a modern data platform.

Benefits
  • A workplace backed by hundreds of skilled employees across multiple disciplines, giving you a strong support network.
  • An organisation that invests in innovation, technical advancement, and research, ensuring a modern and constantly improving data environment.
  • Opportunities to work alongside degree‑ and PhD‑qualified specialists across various technical and scientific fields.
  • A warm, collaborative culture with a focus on quality, development, and continuous improvement.
Key experience Essential
  • Strong experience with Power BI – building, refining, and improving dashboards and reports.
  • A solid foundation in SQL (light/medium usage is fine).
  • Excellent communication skills – confident explaining complex data in a simple, engaging way.
  • Ability to tell clear, compelling stories using data.
  • Comfortable working independently, owning tasks, and managing deadlines.

Ready to move into a role where your voice really matters? You’ll be joining at the perfect time, with new technologies being rolled out, legacy tools being replaced, and real opportunities to help shape how the organisation thinks about data.

If you’re looking for impact, autonomy, and a supportive team, this is a role worth exploring. Apply now or send your CV directly!
