Salary: £16 – £22 per hour (£31,200 – £42,900 per annum equivalent, based on a 37.5-hour week)

About the Opportunity

Vita CV is currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a Glasgow-based digital business growing its design team. We are looking to appoint a Junior UX Designer on a full-time, hybrid basis. This is suited to designers in the early stage of their UX career who want to develop within an established product team.

About the Role

The Junior UX Designer will support the wider UX team across user research, wire framing, prototyping, and design QA, contributing to ongoing product improvements alongside more senior designers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support user research activities including interviews and usability testing
  • Produce wireframes, prototypes, and UI explorations in Figma
  • Contribute to the maintenance of the client's design system
  • Collaborate with senior designers, product, and engineering teams
  • Carry out design QA on developed features before release
  • Help document research findings and design decisions
  • Take direction well and incorporate feedback into iterations

What We're Looking For

  • 1–2 years of experience in a UX, UI, or product design role
  • A portfolio demonstrating user-centred design thinking
  • Comfortable with Figma and modern design tools
  • Good understanding of UX fundamentals and research methods
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Able to attend the Glasgow office for agreed hybrid working days
  • A stable home internet connection and a suitable workspace for remote days

Desirable (Nice to Have)

  • Exposure to accessibility standards or inclusive design practices
  • Experience working alongside product and engineering teams
