We are seeking an experienced Senior AWS Connect Developer to join a large-scale transformation programme within the financial services sector. This is an exciting opportunity to work on enterprise‑grade cloud contact centre solutions, helping modernise customer engagement platforms using Amazon Connect and AWS technologies.
You will play a key role in designing, developing, and integrating advanced contact centre solutions within a highly collaborative and fast‑paced delivery environment.
RoleAs a Senior AWS Connect Developer, you will be responsible for delivering scalable and resilient cloud‑based contact centre solutions using Amazon Connect and associated AWS services. You will work closely with technical and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust customer experience solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop Amazon Connect contact centre solutions including IVR workflows, routing logic, and agent experiences
- Configure routing profiles, queues, hours of operation, failover, and fallback strategies
- Build backend integrations using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, S3, Dynamo
DB, and related AWS services - Integrate Amazon Connect with CRM and enterprise platforms including Salesforce and Service Now
- Develop and enhance Lambda functions using Python
- Support migration activities from legacy telephony platforms to Amazon Connect
- Optimise system performance, resilience, and customer journey flows
- Participate in testing, production releases, and post‑deployment stabilisation
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and business stakeholders across the programme
- Contribute to CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code implementations using Terraform or Cloud Formation
- Strong hands‑on experience with Amazon Connect including IVR, call flows, routing profiles, and reporting
- Strong AWS development experience across Lambda, API Gateway, Dynamo
DB, S3, IAM, and Cloud Watch - Experience integrating Amazon Connect with Salesforce Service Cloud Voice and CTI solutions
- Strong Python development experience, particularly within Lambda environments
- Solid understanding of contact centre operations including ACD, IVR, CTI, and routing strategies
- Experience working with CCaaS platforms and customer experience solutions
- Strong telephony and customer journey design knowledge
- Experience delivering migration programmes from legacy platforms such as Avaya to Amazon Connect
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code tools including Terraform and Cloud Formation
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
This role can be based remotely with occasional travel where required, with preference for candidates able to attend the Glasgow office on a hybrid basis.
