Azure Site Relaibility Engineer

World Wide Technology (WWT) is seeking experienced Azure Site Reliability Engineers to join a client-embedded Platform Health workstream. You will help deliver critical reliability and observability capabilities that underpin two major Azure milestones:
Gold Dev and Azure General Availability. The ideal candidate will work shoulder-to-shoulder with product, engineering, and leadership stakeholders building and operating the platform health infrastructure that keeps services resilient on a scale. This is a contract Role & Inside IR35 Azure SRE Contract Duration : 6 months!

Job Description:

Engineer will support Platform Health workstream, focusing on Azure GA readiness and Gold Dev milestones, with emphasis on observability, automation, and secure cloud architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement SLOs/SLIs across user, application, and infrastructure layers Build Azure platform health solutions using Terraform (IaC) Develop Python-based automation, integrations, and webhook handlers Work with Azure services:
Service Health, Resource Graph, Log Analytics, Logic Apps, Storage Tables, Private Endpoints Implement observability solutions (Grafana, alerting, synthetic monitoring) Build event-driven integrations (Kafka, Splunk, REST APIs) Apply cloud security best practices (RBAC, CMK, encryption, Private Endpoints) Collaborate with stakeholders Key

Skills:

Strong hands-on Azure platform experience Terraform (production-level IaC) Python development for automation and integrations SLO/SLI design & observability tools (Grafana, Thousand Eyes/APICA) Event-driven architecture & API integrations Cloud security: RBAC, encryption, CMK Excellent communication skills (English) Candidates will be required to go through background checks before commencing contract. Must be eligible to live and work in the specified work location . Some occasional travel may be required.
