Oracle SQL Developer

We’re looking for a strong hands-on Oracle PL/SQL Developer to support the development, optimisation and maintenance of Oracle-based applications and database solutions.

This role would suit someone with solid experience across Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Forms/Reports and Oracle Database 19c
, with the ability to work independently across the full software development lifecycle.

You will be responsible for developing, enhancing and supporting Oracle database applications, writing efficient PL/SQL code, optimising queries, creating database objects and supporting scheduled Oracle jobs.

For lead-level candidates, the role will also involve working closely with Solution Architects, supporting solution design, producing technical documentation and guiding other developers within the team.

• Develop, maintain and optimise Oracle SQL and PL/SQL solutions.
• Write and maintain Oracle procedures, packages, functions, cursors and views.
• Work with Oracle Forms and Reports, including 10g/11g environments.
• Support data warehousing and Oracle Database 19c development activities.
• Create, schedule, monitor and audit Oracle jobs.
• Analyse and improve query performance and PL/SQL efficiency.
• Work with entity relationship diagrams, data mapping and database design documentation.
• Manage development tasks independently across the SDLC.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide clear updates to stakeholders.

• Experience with Oracle Forms and Reports, ideally 10g/11g.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle procedures, packages, functions, cursors and views.
• Experience working with Oracle Database 19c.
• Understanding of data warehousing principles.
• Experience with query optimisation and PL/SQL industrialisation.
• Good understanding of ER diagrams and data mapping.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of delivery.

• 6-12 Months Contract

The ideal candidate will be a hands‑on Oracle Developer who can take ownership of technical delivery, write clean and efficient PL/SQL, understand complex database structures and communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
