This is a highly profitable, family-owned British success story delivering to over half a million customers each week. With deep roots in FMCG, farming and logistics, the business is now evolving toward a digital-first, subscription-led model and investing heavily to get there. This is a newly created board facing role, designed to put technology, data and digital at the heart of commercial growth.
TheOpportunity
You will act as the Architect & Catalyst of the next phase, helping transition from a traditional route-to-market model to a digitally driven, recurring revenue platform. The business is already acquiring approximately 8,000 customers per week through traditional channels and around 1,000 digitally. Your mandate is clear: flip that model and scale digital as the primary growth engine.
What You Will Own Digital Growth & Commercial Impact- Scale digital acquisition and optimise conversion
- Build subscription, pricing and personalisation capability
- Drive improvements in LTV, CAC and basket economics
- Partner closely with the Commercial, Marketing and Leadership teams
- Modernise core platforms including ERP, CRM, billing and data
- Reduce technical debt and enable scalable architecture
- Increase automation across logistics and operations
- Create a single customer and operational data view
- Shift the business toward real-time, predictive decision making
- Elevate data maturity to support board-level decision making
- Own cyber and information security strategy, including ISO 27001 and GDPR
- Implement security by design principles across all platforms
- Provide clear board level reporting on risk and resilience
- Build and lead a multi-disciplinary function spanning Digital, IT and Data
- Embed a product led, agile and outcome focused culture
- Drive adoption across a business still early in its digital journey
- Financially robust and cash-generative business
You will work directly with an engaged and ambitious leadership team, including individuals from major FMCG and logistics operators.
What We're Looking For- A current CIO, CTO, or a standout Head of Technology or Digital Director ready to step up
- Proven in scaling digital revenue and customer experience
- Experienced in subscription, D2C or high-frequency consumer models
- Comfortable balancing hands-on delivery with board-level influence
You’ll bring:
- Strong commercial instinct, not just technical depth
- Experience scaling platforms across cloud, data, ERP and billing environments
- A track record of leading transformation in evolving organisations
- The ability to bring people with you through change, particularly within a traditional family-led business

Package- £140,000+, dependent on experience
