Principal Data Engineer - Azure - Perm

We're looking for an experienced Principal Data Engineer to lead the technical direction of a modern Azure-based data platform. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you'll shape data engineering standards, design scalable lakehouse architectures, and drive innovation across Azure, Microsoft Fabric and Databricks environments.

You’ll work closely with data scientists, architects and engineering teams to deliver robust, secure, and high-performing data solutions while acting as the technical authority for data engineering best practice.

• Python, SQL and modern data pipeline development
• Data governance, security and quality assurance
• Strong stakeholder engagement and technical leadership

Desirable: Spark, Terraform/Bicep, streaming/IoT data experience and Azure certifications.
