IT Technical Consultant

Note - you must currently hold the right to work in the UK and currently live within reasonable travel distance of the location for in-office days.

We're looking for a Technical Consultant to join a growing Consulting/MSP firm in the Glasgow area.

This role would suit either a strong 3rd Line Engineer looking to move into a more consultative position, or an experienced IT Consultant seeking a fresh challenge in a hands-on technical environment.

You'll deliver customer projects, provide trusted technical advice, support solution implementations and act as a senior escalation point for complex technical issues. You'll also work closely with service desk engineers, sharing knowledge and helping resolve challenging problems when required.

What you'll be doing

• Delivering infrastructure, cloud and Microsoft technology projects.
• Providing technical consultancy and advice to customers.
• Acting as an escalation point for complex technical issues.
• Supporting solution design and implementation.
• Producing technical documentation and handover materials.
• Assisting with technical presales activities where required.
• Mentoring and supporting engineering colleagues.
• Ensuring projects are delivered successfully and transitioned smoothly into support.

Experience across some or all of the following:

• Security technologies
• You'll be comfortable working directly with customers, solving complex technical challenges and translating technical solutions into practical business outcomes.
