What Youll Do
Our Data Centre Operations team is at the physical core of our business responsible for building maintaining and operating the cutting-edge infrastructure that powers the cloud. This team ensures the stability security and scalability of our physical assets working hands-on in a fast-paced hyper-growth environment to deliver a best-in-class experience for our clients.
About the roleThe Data Centre Technician will help ensure overall availability and reliability to meet or exceed defined service levels of our Glasgow data centre this role you will execute physical hardware and network diagnostics perform physical repairs and perform root cause analysis on equipment failures to maintain consistent service availability. Your responsibilities include developing documentation or scripts to update server and networking hardware as well as training internal teams.
As part of this 100% on-site role you will participate in a rotating on-call shift requiring response times within 60 minutes for equipment failures alongside up to 10% travel to other locations as required.
Hands-on computer hardware experience including physical assembly diagnostic testing and component troubleshooting.Practical experience working within Linux operating systems.Capability to regularly position and transport equipment weighing up to 22.5 kg (50 lbs).Physical agility to maneuver within cramped or elevated spaces (such as ladders or under-floor areas) and remain stationary for extended periods.Fine motor skills to handle delicate small hardware components and cabling.Ability
to work comfortably in data centre environmental conditions with fluctuating temperatures ranging from 15C to 32C (60F to 90F).Flexibility to work in a 24/7 operational environment including rotating on-call schedules.
Preferred:
Practical knowledge of computer networking principles.Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Bash.Familiarity with network operating systems like Cisco IOS or Juniper JunOS.An Associates Degree or equivalent practical experience in an IT-related discipline.

At Core Weave base pay is determined by a range of factors including job-related knowledge skills experience and addition to base salary our total rewards package includes a discretionary bonus equity awards and a comprehensive benefits programme (all subject to eligibility).
