Senior Claims Handler – Combined

Description

We are currently recruiting within our A&H team in our Glasgow office for a Senior Claims Adjuster. Ideally suited to candidates with previous claims handling / adjusting experience preferably within Accident & Health or similar lines of business. We will also consider experienced claims adjusters with experience gained in other business lines.

The key purpose of this role is to manage a portfolio of complex claims for a specific line of business including coverage analysis investigation and evaluation of policy liability & legal liability.

• Negotiate settlement of claims to bring them to a successful conclusion.
• Self‑management of own caseload to ensure prompt settlement of files.
• Act as part of a team to ensure both Team and individual goals are met.
• Act as a technical resource and provide guidance on the claims assessment process to junior colleagues.
• Mentoring, training and coaching junior colleagues where relevant.

• ACII qualification advantageous but not essential.
• Previous end‑to‑end claim handling experience.
• Considerable market experience.
• Comprehensive understanding and working knowledge of specialist product line.
• Solid experience in dealing with clients.
• Ability to make own decisions and work on own initiative.
