Subsidence Claims Leader

We're working with a leading loss adjusting business that is looking for an experienced Subsidence Team Leader to join its specialist Subsidence team.

You’ll play a key role in leading, developing and supporting colleagues while also managing your own portfolio of subsidence claims, giving you the opportunity to combine people leadership with technical claims handling.

The role will involve:

• Providing day-to-day guidance and support to the subsidence claims team
• Coaching, mentoring and developing colleagues
• Driving team performance, engagement and service standards
• Managing your own portfolio of subsidence claims
• Acting as a technical point of contact for the wider team
• Identifying training and development opportunities
• Supporting leadership and deputising when required
• Managing changing priorities and periods of increased claims volume
• Helping to improve processes and ways of working

What we’re looking for:

• Strong experience within claims handling
• Good knowledge of subsidence claims or experience managing complex claims
• Previous leadership, coaching or mentoring experience would be beneficial
• Strong communication, influencing and relationship-building skills
• Confidence supporting and developing others
• Good organisation and workload management skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• A strong focus on customer service and positive claims outcomes

This role could suit an experienced Team Leader or Manager from a claims background, or an experienced Subsidence Claims Handler who is ready to take the next step into leadership.
