Glasgow In-Person Freelance Interpreters

Job Description:

Voiceover Interpreting Services is looking for fluent English speakers who also speak Bengali, Romanian, Oromo, Turkish or Vietnamese to join our team of freelance interpreters.

Please only apply if you meet the following:

• At least Level 3 qualification in Community Interpreting OR at least 1 year of professional interpreting experience and registration with a corporate language service provider.
• Live in the Glasgow area and are able to take in-person appointments.

As a freelance linguist with Voiceover, you’ll provide:

• In-Person, Video, and Telephone interpreting (if qualified/experienced as an interpreter)

You’ll work flexibly—choose assignments that suit you, with the option to sometimes work remotely for video/telephone/translation jobs. We pay competitive rates and reimburse travel for in-person jobs.

• Fluency in English and Bengali, Romanian, Oromo, Turkish or Vietnamese
• Availability to take in-person jobs in the Glasgow area
• Excellent communication and professionalism
• Proven qualification/experience as outlined above
• Self-employed status
