Paralegal / Senior Paralegal – RTA /Volume Motor – Up to £38K salary

A highly respected national law firm is seeking a Paralegal or Senior Paralegal to join its specialist Volume Motor team, with opportunities available in either the Glasgow or Edinburgh office. The team is known for its expertise in defending motor claims on behalf of insurer clients, handling a high-volume caseload of litigated RTA matters in a collaborative and technically strong environment.

This is a hands‑on role involving full case ownership of approximately 70 litigated files. You will manage cases from issue through to trial, drafting pleadings, valuing claims using the Judicial College Guidelines and case law, and negotiating settlements. The position involves regular communication with external stakeholders including counsel, courts, insurers, brokers, and claimants’ solicitors, and offers a dynamic setting for those seeking career development within defendant personal injury litigation.

• Previous experience handling litigated Motor/RTA claims
• Competent in managing a busy caseload independently
• Strong drafting skills with knowledge of court procedure
• Ability to value personal injury claims and assess special damages
• Excellent negotiation and telephone advocacy skills
• Comfortable preparing witness statements and attending conferences with counsel
• Proficient in using case management systems
• Organised, detail‑focused, and able to meet tight deadlines
• Strong communication skills and a professional manner

• Up to £38K salary (depending on experience)
