Vice President (VP) - Data Privacy Legal Counsel

Location:

Glasgow (hybrid-working, 3 days a week in the office). Exceptional opportunity for a Lawyer with experience of Data Privacy to join a global banking & financial services company – this role is based in Glasgow with hybrid-working on offer.

• The Data Privacy Legal Team provides data privacy legal advice, support and risk management including supporting its business units, middle and back office, international and group functions as well as liaising with the wider legal team. The primary purpose of the role is to provide support and expert legal advice on data privacy and related matters.

• You will be a qualified Lawyer, with a solid background in data privacy law gained in either private practice or in‑house.
• You will have a broad level of data privacy expertise including in respect to: data subject access requests, and international transfers of personal data.
• Circa 8+ PQE.
• You will have the ability to work independently and flexibly in order to identify risk and to plan for change wrought by developing regulation.
• You will also have experience of drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Financial Services experience would be desirable but not essential.
