Legal Counsel - Global Tech Company - 1 to 5 years PQE - Glasgow (Hybrid Working)
Are you a junior solicitor ready to take your first step in-house or are you working in a legal counsel role and would be interested in a new challenge? This is an exciting opportunity to join a collegiate legal team supporting a UK-headquartered, multinational software and technology organisation operating in regulated markets. This role is based in their Glasgow.

This role would particularly suit a junior solicitor with experience in corporate, commercial, banking or corporate governance work, who is keen to broaden into commercial contracts. The team has a structure that will enable training in commercial law and commercial contracts.
The OpportunityThe legal function plays a key advisory role across the business. You will:
- Support the review and negotiation of a wide variety of commercial agreements, including services agreements, supply arrangements, technology and licensing documentation, and framework contracts
- Advise internal stakeholders on regulatory and compliance matters including data protection, competition, governance and risk
- Contribute to corporate transactions, due diligence and internal process improvements
- Help develop templates, playbooks and internal guidance to streamline commercial operations
- Partner closely with sales, procurement, finance and operational teams
You’ll gain exposure to public sector contracting, software solutions, and international commercial activity — making this an excellent platform for developing as a well-rounded in-house lawyer.
About YouYou will be:
- A qualified solicitor in the UK
- Trained in corporate, commercial or company secretarial work (private practice, public sector or in-house)
- Commercially minded and curious about how businesses operate
- Comfortable engaging with non-legal colleagues and explaining risk in practical terms
- Organised and adaptable in a fast-moving environment
- Previous exposure to technology, software, procurement or regulated sectors would be advantageous — but is not essential.
