This opportunity is ideally suited to a non-contentious construction lawyer, though we are also interested to speak to people with a mixed contentious and non-contentious practice.
PIC has expertise across various sectors, including commercial development, renewable energy, utilities, civil and other heavy engineering, real estate and infrastructure. We also benefit from a broad client base, which includes real estate developers, energy and utilities companies, developers, funders and various significant public sector organisations.

The national Legal 500 and Chambers ranked team (with a presence in Glasgow, Belfast, Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester and London) comprises approximately 40 people, including support and lawyers across all levels of seniority.

Your Role You will:
Support with key mandates across non-contentious construction work, with appropriate levels of Partner support
Support clients on real estate development, energy, infrastructure, housing and student accommodation projects
Participate in business development activity to strengthen the team and firm client base Supervise Associates, Paralegals and Trainees, to support them in their development
Develop your skills, knowledge and construction law expertise
Delegate to and receive support from Senior Associates, Associates, Trainees and Paralegals Support the Partner team on tenders and contribute to team strategic planning
Your Skills and Experience You will be/have:
A Qualified Solicitor (registered with the Law Society, SRA or equivalent), 6 PQE+, already operating at a senior level, with construction experience gained within a highly regarded Construction and Projects team
Well versed in dealing with standard industry forms with expertise in non-contentious matters.
Experience of working on real estate development or public sector matters would be beneficial, but not essential. Experience in building and maintaining strong client relationships
Experience of supervising and/or managing Associates, Trainees and/or Paralegals Able to demonstrate first class communication skills with the ability and confidence to engage with clients and colleagues at all levels
Able to confidently provide strategic advice to a variety of TLT clients
Be an active, senior member of the team at TLT, with the commitment to developing the firm’s offering locally and nationally

Your Team Our Projects, Infrastructure & Construction team have extensive experience in development and transactional construction projects, as well as expertise in dispute management and resolution.
We work with corporate clients of all sizes - global manufacturers and retailers, major national and regional builders, and commercial land developers are regular clients. We also work with registered housing associations and public bodies including local authorities, police forces and other governmental departments and agencies.
