Order Deployment & Shipping Lead

Anderson Knight is delighted to be partnering with a leading international drinks business to recruit an Order Deployment & Shipping Lead based in Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced supply chain or logistics professional with a strong background in order deployment, export shipping and international logistics within the drinks or FMCG sector. The successful candidate will have proven experience leading operational teams and driving high standards of customer service, shipping performance and export compliance.

Salary: £55,000 + Bonus & Benefits

Hours:

36 hours per week

• Monday to Thursday: 08:00 – 16:30
• Friday: 08:00 – 14:00

As Order Deployment & Shipping Lead, you will oversee the end-to-end order deployment and shipping process, ensuring customer orders are fulfilled accurately, shipped on time and fully compliant with international export regulations. Leading a team of supply chain professionals, you’ll work closely with production, commercial and logistics teams to ensure seamless execution while driving continuous improvement across the operation.

• Lead, coach and develop a team responsible for order deployment, shipping and export operations, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Manage the end-to-end order deployment and shipping process, ensuring customer orders are delivered on time, in full and to the highest service standards.
• Oversee export documentation, customs compliance and international shipping activities, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met.
• Coordinate with production, planning, commercial and logistics teams to optimise order fulfilment and shipping schedules.
• Monitor operational KPIs, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, service levels and cost performance.
• Support inventory deployment, capacity planning and supply chain optimisation initiatives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with freight forwarders, logistics providers and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operational delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement across order management and shipping processes, identifying opportunities to enhance customer experience and operational performance.

• Proven experience in order deployment, export shipping or logistics operations within the drinks or FMCG sector.
• Previous experience leading and developing operational teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of export documentation, customs procedures and international shipping regulations.
• Experience managing customer orders from allocation through to shipment.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple deadlines and manage changing business demands.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience using ERP systems and supply chain planning or order management software.
