Yard Operative – De‑Fleet DepartmentHours of work:
Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm.
Salary: £13.45 per hour plus bonus.
Role
Summary:
- Oversee the safe and efficient movement, inspection and storage of vehicles within the yard.
- Ensure all arriving vehicles are checked for damage, accurately recorded and parked in designated storage areas to support smooth operational flow.
- Receive vehicles from suppliers safely and in a controlled manner.
- Prepare and issue vehicles for inspection and valet as specified by the schedule, meeting KPI.
- Verify that all received vehicles are undamaged and that everything ordered is present and accounted for; record any significant damage.
- Control delivery and collection of vehicles, ensuring outgoing product is inspected and placed on transporter clean and damage‑free.
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong planning and organisational skills.
- Good communication and people skills.
- Ability to work independently and use your own initiative.
A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.
