Case Maintenance Technician – Night shift
Location:
West Scotland / Glasgow
Contract:
Permanent
Salary: £28,711.80 per annum
Working Pattern: 4 night shifts – Monday & Thursday 12 hours;
Tuesday & Wednesday 11.5 hours
The purpose of this role is to carry out a planned refrigeration case maintenance programme across defined regions in line with agreed SLA. All work will be completed to the highest standards in an efficient and cost‑effective manner, whilst complying with the Company Health and Safety policy.
Key Accountabilities- Comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act and the Company Health and Safety Policy at all times.
- Represent the company in a professional and competent manner at all times and develop good working relationships with City colleagues and the client.
- Coordinate the activities of the case maintenance team and ensure refrigeration case maintenance schedules are completed within agreed timescales.
- Be aware of regulations and codes of practice applicable to the tasks.
- Merchandising and remerchandising of the refrigeration units.
- Create remedial reports for each PPM and notify the Ops Lead of tasks for action.
- Deliver training to the case maintenance technician.
- Communicate regularly with Store Management team within the store, providing updates on activity and ensuring sign‑off of completed works.
- Work with the company and the client to ensure that laid‑down standards of quality are always maintained.
- Comply with any other reasonable request or instruction from the company.
- Ensure all systems are working to optimum energy efficiency.
- When required, support other engineering disciplines to provide flexibility to service delivery.
- Ensure the maintenance of equipment, tools & vehicle so that it is fit for purpose.
Skills and Abilities
Essential
- Supervision of small teams.
- Demonstrated behaviours:
Good communication skills (written and verbal). - Helpful/professional manner.
- A hands‑on, can‑do and flexible approach to work (essential requirement).
- Positive approach, able to work in a dynamic business environment, committed to the delivery of outstanding customer service.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Degree of flexibility required; may be required to stay away from home.
- Current full driving licence – on occasions required to drive to support the Team Leader.
- GCSE standard education.
- Retail experience.
- Cleaning industry experience.
- PC / iPad literate – Apple and Android.
